The Department of Jewish Studies is pleased to introduce our newest faculty members, Harris Distinguished Visiting Professor Anna-Dorthea Ludewig, along with Professors Asaph Ben-Tov and Marc Caplan.
About Anna-Dorthea Ludewig
Anna-Dorthea Ludewig is a literary scholar and senior researcher at the Moses Mendelssohn Center for European-Jewish Studies Potsdam, a lecturer ("Privatdozentin") at the University of Potsdam, and a member of the editorial staff of the online periodical MEDAON.

About Asaph Ben-Tov
Dr Asaph Ben-Tov is a historian of early modern Europe based in Germany. He specializes in Christian engagement with Islam and Judaism, and the Classical tradition.

About Marc Caplan
Marc Caplan is a Louisiana native and graduate of Yale University. He holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from New York University. His academic journey has taken him across the U.S. and Europe, with teaching and research positions in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Maryland, New York City, Michigan, Vienna (Austria), Wrocław (Poland), and a return to Yale.
