Please join the Jewish Studies Program at Dartmouth College on Sunday, May 23, 2001, at 12 noon EST as we pay tribute to Professor Elliot Wolfson and celebrate the forthcoming Festschrift in his honor.
Professor Elliot Wolfson, the Marsha and Jay Glazer Endowed Chair in Jewish Studies at the University of California at Santa Barbara, is an esteemed scholar in many fields, including Jewish mysticism, theory of religion, and philosophy. His numerous books and articles have inspired scholars around the world and deepened our understanding of religion in profound ways.
Four of the contributors to the Festschrift – Professors Elizabeth Weber, Michael Fishbane, Daniel Abrams, and Sharon Koren - will present previews of their articles for the Festschrift and other contributors to the volume will have an opportunity to express their appreciation for Professor Wolfson’s scholarship.
Sponsored by the Jewish Studies Programs at Dartmouth College and at Sarah Lawrence College with a grant from the Institute for Cross-Disciplinary Engagement at Dartmouth College, which receives generous funding from the John Templeton Foundation.
